What you get from this package: -7 unique maple tree models, in 3 seasonal variations (summer, autumn & winter), each with 3-4 LOD levels, ranging from 115 to 5316 triangles; -total of 120 trees (counting all LODs and seasonsal variations); -seamless bark textures, with normal & displacement maps; -transparent leaf textures (1 x summer, 2 x autumn & 1 x winter variations); -billboards included for GPU optimisation at distant forests; -mostly 2048 pixel texture maps, billboards are 256 pixel; These tree models were inspired by the Transylvanian deciduous forests, each texture photo-captured from the tall giants which inhabit the hills. The LOD system is necessary when you have 4000 tris in a nicely detailed model, but wish to populate your scene with many models, then the poly-count reduction comes in to save the day. All models have been tested in a large, open-world game scene, where they integrated and ran smoothly.
