Product details

Name: Umbrella Thorn Acacia Scientific: Vachellia tortilis A.K.A.: Umbrella Thorn, Israeli Babool, Salam, Espino de Parasol, Haak-en-steek This Variation: 3 of 4. This is a High Poly model. A Low Poly version is also available. Notes: A medium to large canopied tree native to most of Africa, primarily to the savanna and Sahel of Africa (especially the Somali peninsula and Sudan), but also occurring in the Middle East. In extremely arid conditions it may occur as a small, wiry bush. Timber from the tree is used for furniture, wagon wheels, fence posts, cages, and pens. Wood from this tree was also used exclusively by the Israelites in the bible in the building of the tabernacle and the tabernacle furniture, including the Ark of the Covenant. The pods and foliage, which grow prolifically on the tree, are used as fodder for desert grazing animals. The bark is often used as a string medium in Tanzania, and is a source for tannin. Gum from the tree is edible and can be used as gum arabic. Parts of the tree including roots, shoots, and pods are also often used by natives for a vast number of purposes including decorations, weapons, tools, and medicines. Included in this Package: 12 models in total Standard — 337,958 polygons, 545,473 vertices — 14.83m tall. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes. Thriving — 384,559 polygons, 625,602 vertices — 14.83m tall. Peak health. Unhealthy — 210,505 polygons, 325,511 vertices — 14.74m tall. Relatively poor state with foliage missing or diseased. Dying — 92,546 polygons, 127,861 vertices — 14.4m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead — 45,041 polygons, 55,954 vertices — 13.97m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage. Uprooted — 71,313 polygons, 91,963 vertices — 3.72m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side. Ancient — 447,088 polygons, 684,945 vertices — 19.97m tall. Very old plant, larger and considerably gnarled. Young — 208,955 polygons, 342,560 vertices — 10.81m tall. Smaller plant, some half way through its maturing cycle. Immature — 14,691 polygons, 23,744 vertices — 4.38m tall. Very small and young plant. Sapling — 1,521 polygons, 2,620 vertices — 74.16cm tall. Recently sprouted, may not have any leaves. Lower Poly — 99,499 polygons, 225,357 vertices — 14.83m tall. Fewer polys to save system resources. For mid or distant renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge). Higher Poly — 570,237 polygons, 845,274 vertices — 14.83m tall. More polys for greater detail. For close-up renders. Standard model included, remainder models upon request (no charge). Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included are mainly 4k (4096×4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well. EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant! If you don't see it in our store, please get in contact; we have thousands of species on file awaiting upload.
