Yulania denudata, also known as Magnolia denudata, Yulan Magnolia, or Lily Tree, is a species native to central and eastern China, which has been cultivated for about 4,000 years. This large deciduous shrub or small tree is renowned for its pure white, cup-shaped flowers that bloom in late winter or early spring. It’s a beautiful addition to gardens, often used as a specimen tree and has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
